Meet Jess
I am the Head of Wellbeing at Hack The Body Hack The Mind.
I studied Psychology at University and have always been interested in the complexities of people and how the mind works.
Since university, I have gone into a career in HR to make a difference in the quality of support employees receive. Not only to help with the day-to-day stresses that work can bring, but to help people who experience mental ill health.
With my experience in HR, I have found staff find it difficult to speak up or be honest about their mental health, with the fear that their employer will not understand.
So by providing Wellbeing Workshops we aim to support employers to support their employees. While opening up the conversation within companies so colleagues know the best ways to support each other.
I think each individual will need different support with their mental health. For me I find walks with the dog and getting out in nature really helps with my anxiety. We hope to help people discover what support is right for them.
If I had to sum it up I would say
“I want to break the stigma around mental health in the working environment”
My Values are
Adventure
Compassion
Growth
Happiness
I believe that everything happens for a reason and in living every day as if it is your last. I think exploring and having meaningful experiences is what makes life whole.
