Sophie’s Story
“I was recommended to start PT with Charlie when I realised I put a few lockdown pounds on and the realisation of getting married in a few months were slowly creeping up! I spoke to Charlie in the phone we went through a few habits I had and how I basically didn't have time to exercise or cook food... I was clearly expecting a miracle!So I started with a food plan and quickly realised this wasn't working for me.. so Charlie suggested meeting for a PT session just to see how I feel.. this was the best thing that happened.
I met Charlie, he made feel so comfortable and most of all NOT silly. I'm not a 'Gym Girl' and my main catchphrase and probably still is....’I've not got enough time!’ This was it... my last hope! So I jumped in with two feet and put full trust in Charlie.. he explained everything in detail and there wasn't a 'stupid' question. I started to really enjoy myself. I came away with Charlie asking for measurements of areas of my body and to make note. I've never done this before!Looking back I've followed other diet plans... where I stood in the scales and encouraged to loose weight week upon week.. this was my current mind set. This was what I was expecting to see...
A few weeks past and Charlie would ask how I'm doing on a regular basis.. 'yeh all good' I'd respond but inside was thinking... but I'm not loosing weight... i’m doing everything you ask but I'm still not loosing Lb's??
One day we were in a session and I can remember Charlie asking again (this was a regular question) how you finding things... I didn’t really respond, he asked again... so I replied... 'well.. i’m not loosing weight... and then the verbal diarrhoea exploded'... let's call it a melt down! Charlie calmed me down, we carried on and repeated 'trust the process' In the mistake of all this the main goal was to fit in the wedding dress I'd bought and feel comfortable!! Charlie made this happen and gave me the confidence to do so.
We got the the end of July and I started to feel stronger, more toned and better in myself. and he asked for measurements again... I was shocked!I has lost cm's off my waist, hips and chest!! But still the same weight! I was baffled!”
I've had a short break from the gym but already I know what benefits I had and what a difference NOT going makes! The best thing I done! And so educational!
